Stanbic Bank Extends NSC Deadline to March 29 as Schools Rush to Enter
Stanbic Bank Uganda has extended the entry deadline for its National Schools Championship (NSC) to March 29, 2026, giving secondary and vocational schools across the country additional time to submit their applications.
The championship, now running under the theme Powering Innovation for Job Creation, invites students and teachers to develop business ideas that address real-world challenges. This year’s campaign slogan, Flex Your Genius, signals a deliberate shift away from academic performance as the sole measure of student potential.
Participating schools will receive structured toolkits and guided materials to help shape their ideas before a residential business bootcamp, where top-performing students and teachers will spend five days refining their entrepreneurial concepts.
A combined prize pool of UGX 100 million is on offer for outstanding schools, teachers, and alumni.
Stanbic Bank says the competition is part of a broader effort to address youth unemployment in a country where close to 70 percent of the population is under the age of 24. The bank argues that many young Ugandans already possess the ideas and problem-solving instincts needed to drive economic change — and that what they need is the right platform to demonstrate it.
Schools interested in participating are advised to apply promptly before the deadline. Applications are open at www.stanbicnsc.ug.
